I’ve known Liz Fouther-Branch and Bobby Fouther for several years now. I met the Fouther siblings as part of a local Black artists group. Their resumes are long (Check out the flyers below) and originally, this interview was not supposed to be for the Blacktastic Adventure. I specifically reached out to talk about their work with Emanuel Displaced Persons Association 2 to get restitution for people displaced by the City of Portland for the construction of Emanuel Hospital. Liz and Bobby, a prolific educator and a prolific artist, respectively, have continued to engage with this history through their work and their vast photo archive from their days growing up in the neighborhood where Legacy Emanuel Hospital now stands.
