We switched things up for Respond to Racism on IG Live this month. For this edition, we hosted an intergenerational panel featuring myself, RtR volunteer and LOSD parent Tam Hixson, RtR Youth Empowerment Committee member Sarah Al-Qirem and Cultural Blends founder and Lakeridge alum Troy Douglass. We covered a number of subjects, including our feelings on the word BIPOC, sources of cultural pride and how we were first introduced to the idea of cross cultural solidarity.
